"THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL" Words that evoke several different emotional reactions. From the irritated grunts of the high school senior trying to get through one more year to the joyful squeal of the 5th grader ready to see her friends again to the silent sobs of a mother as her baby goes off for the first time.
Yes, that time of year is just around the corner. Are you ready for it yet? Is anyone ever really ready for the lazy days of summer to be over and the endless marathon of school, meetings, events and activities to begin? Maybe you are. Maybe you are uber excited about it.
As a dog, I get to relax a bit and watch the rest of human society go absolutely bananas. And this is not necessarily a bad thing. Like I said before, this is something people view in all sorts of different ways. I personally love the first days of the new school year. New experiences, new friends, new information to soak up. It's the natural order of things. Are you ready for it?
I hope you have done everything you wanted to do this summer... and if you haven't, GET TO IT! Summer is all about recharging your batteries. Go out and have some fun. Spend the next couple weeks enjoying time with the fam before school schedules start to get in the way.

Love This Face!
Babyfaces is our beloved program here at G. Patterson Studio that begins with your maternity portrait session and takes you through your child's first birthday session. 
We love Babyfaces because we meet incredible people like Sarah who first brought in her oldest daughter to us a couple years ago and has now brought in her newest daughter. Sarah has a very warm and loving attitude, and it has been our honor to continue to photograph her growing family. She has such a beautiful family and a beautiful heart to match. We genuinely look forward to watching these two girls grow and hope to capture many more priceless memories along the way.
Part of the reason we especially enjoy our babyfaces clients is we get to know them at such a unique time in their lives. We often have first time moms or first time big brothers or sisters, and it's a joy to share in this experience with them. We share in the insanity, we add to the silliness and laughter, and capture the tender moments. It is a great blessing that we are able to do this kind of work.
We love working with babies because every child's personality is different and every child changes so much within their first year. Each is so precious and the vast array of expressions they have are absolutely priceless. Along with the preciousness, however, there are some messy surprises along the way. But we are well equipped to handle those surprises that inevitably come, and we have lots of fun anyway. :)
It's beautiful personalities like Sarah's that make this demanding career worth it. Thank you for your loyal support. And to the rest of the world out there still having babies, allow us to be a part of your family's incredible journey. We would love for you to be a part of ours.

Cherished Memories RESTORED

Not everyone takes care of their old photos the way they should. In fact, very few people realize that how they are treating or storing their precious family photos could destroy them. Time and time again, we will have these people call or walk in our studio in desperation, praying that their old damaged family photo can be restored. Lately, we have been getting quite a few more restoration requests than usual. We don't know why... Maybe the national sentiment is more nostalgic right now than usual. Whatever the case, we are happy to be able to help.
We thought that we would take this time to spread the word that we do indeed restore old damaged photos. Whether it's faded, water logged, ripped or cracked, we can revive most old photos that have taken a beating. So, if you have a cherished family photo that you want to bring back to life, there is hope. Come by our studio with your old photo, and we will see how we can help.

Cherished Memories RECOVERED
Not only can we restore damaged photographs, we can also recover lost ones. No, we are not magicians. I'm speaking of course of photos that you have accidentally deleted off of your camera cards.
Don't you hate it when you come back from vacation and instead of copying your images to your computer, you dump them in the recycle bin? Or instead of deleting that one blurry image of you in Hawaii, you delete all of the gorgeous views of the waterfalls, beaches and volcanoes. Everyone has done it. We've done it. But we have the ability to recover some or all of these deleted images. If you have accidentally deleted images from your camera card, call our studio. We may be able to help.

PhotoBooth: Experience the Crazy!!
Are you looking for a new way to spice up your next sorority party, wedding, or corporate event?
Be silly. Be sassy. Be zany. We don't care. It's all about cutting loose and having fun! We're so proud to be the only studio in East Texas offering the PhotoBooth. It's a great way to generate excitement and remember your special event. The PhotoBooth works well for couples, but is large enough to accommodate groups of up to eight adults.
Props are available and definitely encouraged! Rent the booth for unlimited use at $695 for 3 hours. Each use takes 4 different images and prints them to a 4x6 right then. This little addition could really make your next event a great success!
